TPM1: Stavanger, Norway
SensEd partners descended on Stavanger, Norway from September 12-14 for our first face-to-face transnational meeting.
The event was hosted by project manager, Stavanger Offshore Technical School (SOTS) at their training centre. It was a fantastic opportunity for all partners to meet each other in person and to get some hands-on (and sensory!) workshopping done.
Aside from administrative issues, all the key deliverables of the project were discussed exhaustively to ensure that everyone was on the same page. The project is not intended to be prescriptive but to allow teachers and school teams to creatively add sensory skills education alongside their existing school curricula. Those who could not make it to Norway were included via online meeting spaces.
Cagdas Drama Academy ran a sensory skills workshop using drama as the medium, and participants took to the activities with great relish.
SOTS also made sure that visiting participants got to see aspects of the Norwegian country and culture, with a welcome dinner and tours to see various important sites within and without Stavanger.
All in all, a lot was achieved during our TPM, and we are now excited to progress on with our deliverables in time for the next Learning, Training and Teaching Activity (LTTA) in Sicily, Italy in March 2023.
